Thoughts on the iPad

So the iPad is coming out soon, and Apple has opened up preorders for them. To me it looks and sounds like a large ipod touch. It has all the functionality, of one with a bigger screen. All the functionality minus the portability that is. Now some may say that it is larger and super awesome for reading books on. While it is larger, I think that the display will be tiresome to the eyes; as when you read books they tend not to emit light. If you really must have books on the go, I think e-readers have developed to a good enough state where you could consider owning one. So where does that leave the iPad? I guess it could be a tool for surfing the internet from the couch, however it would be quite limited considering it doesn’t support flash. No flash means no super fun games.I do not mean to rage at apple, as they do have a certain amount of innovation. But seriously WTF is the point of an iPad??? Am I completely missing something or does someone out there agree with me?
